Claudia Mauzy Nemir, President and Chair
Alamo, CA
A retired bank manager, Claudia is a fifth generation native of the Walnut Creek, Danville, Alamo areas. She is a past recipient of Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Woman of the Year award, has served in an executive capacity with the Eugene O'Neill Foundation, Phi Mu Foundation, and the Civic Arts Education Advisory Council and is a two-term member of the Walnut Creek Arts Commission. She is a past president of the Danville Alamo branch of the American Association University Women, Soroptimist International, and of the Alamo Police Advisory Committee, as well as past Chair of the Discovery Center.

In addition to service on the DLOC Board, Carole also serves on the Eugene O’Neill Foundation Board of Directors and the Diablo Regional Arts Association Board of Trustees.
Carole has served as President of the O’Neill Board, as well as chairing two Annual O’Neill Festivals. Past service for Diablo Regional Arts Association includes twice chairing their annual fundraiser, serving on the Artistic Grants committee, and her current position as chair of the Arts Ambassadors Program.
Past community service includes, The Junior League of Oakland-East Bay, former Walnut Creek Arts Commissioner, The American Cancer Society and founding board member of The Walnut Creek Fountain for Youth Foundation.
Richard C. Raines, Secretary
Walnut Creek, CA
Rich is an attorney with Gagen McCoy in Danville, handling general civil litigation. He is Past President of the Contra Costa County Bar Association, Past President of Contra Costa Legal Aid Foundation and is an author and lecturer for California Continuing Education of the Bar. He served as Advisor and Member of the Litigation Section of the California State Bar, and as a Delegate to the California Bar Convention. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and Hastings College of the Law.
JP McDermott
Danville, CA
JP has been an officer and leader in various senior roles throughout his career. JP has over 20 years experience in the communications industry and has proven executive leadership in sales, operations, customer care and general management. To add strengths and a variety of experiences in management roles, JP has gone from large to small sized companies and recently led the Customer Care operations team at iBEAM Broadcasting as Vice President.
Prior to that, he was Regional Vice President at SBC (now AT&T). Before SBC, JP spent 14 years with AT&T in sales, operations, data networking and program management. Prior Leadership trainings as an executive inspired the joining at the Growth and Leadership Center in 2007. JP has a BA from the University of California, San Diego and an Executive MBA from St. Mary's College of California. He is also on many boards including Diablo Light Opera Company and the Arts Commission for the Town of Danville, and is a Junior Achievement volunteer and former Board and Executive Committee member.
Grete Egan
Walnut Creek, CA
Grete Egan is one of the original founders of DLOC. She has been President of the Board and is a frequent producer of the company mainstage productions. Grete is a recipient of the Arts and Culture Commission of Contra Costa County award for outstanding achievement in the Arts. She started the youth tours of the Contra Costa law league Superior Court and she sings in the St Mathews Lutheran Church chancel choir. Grete is also a member of PEO, a service organization that provides scholarship money to young women for college. Grete was also a member of the Walnut Creek Arts Commission for four years.
Bob Rezak
Concord, CA
Bob Rezak is serving his third two-year term on the Board of Diablo Light Opera Company. He is a member of its marketing committee and handles media relations and publicity. He is a retired director of corporate communications for Pacific Bell. He also handles publicity as a volunteer for the Diablo Symphony, the Contra Costa Wind Symphony, the Eugene O'Neill Foundation, and others.
Bob's record of volunteer service and board membership over the years includes the Pavilion at Concord, Festival Opera, Contra Costa Children's Chorus, The Willows Theatre, the John Muir Festival Center in Martinez, and Walnut Creek Concert Band. He is currently serving on the boards of the Eugene O' Neill Foundation, the El Campanil Theatre in Antioch and of the Diablo Regional Arts Association. He is a former chair of the Walnut Creek Arts Commission and a founding member of the Arts and Culture Commission of Contra Costa County.
Martin Bach
Danville, CA
Martin Bach is a Senior Vice President of Investments at Morgan Stanley. He will be celebrating his 40th year with the firm in June. He has acted as a Financial Advisor to DLOC for the past 20 years.
Martin was elected to the Board of Directors of DLOC in April 2004. Prior to that re-election, he had been a board member from 1980-1992, spending two terms as the Chairman of the Board. Martin has also been an active member of the Diablo Regional Arts Association (DRAA), Contra Costa Musical Theatre (CCMT), and the Dean Lesher Regional Center for the Arts (DLRCA). His relationship with these entities has been and will continue to be helpful to DLOC.
Deanna Anderson
Lafayette, CA
Deanna has extensive management and leadership training and holds a B.A. from San Diego State University where she studied theater and psychology. She has volunteered for an assortment of tasks on DLOC’s productions. With more than twenty years of experience in marketing and sales, Deanna is chair of the marketing committee for DLOC and the founder of Marketing Foresight, a marketing consulting and services company. She has held executive positions in business development, marketing, and sales with several software companies, including Digital, FileNet, and AT&T, where she managed large staffs, multiple functional areas, budgets, and complex projects.
Eric Neiman
Martinez, CA
Eric Neiman is President and managing director of TraditionCare, Inc, a mortuary and cremation service located in Pleasant Hill and Antioch which he founded in 1999 with Amy Neiman. Raised on a farm in Northeastern Colorado, he has lived in the SF Bay area since 1987. Although his early college studies were focused on theatre and music, he graduated from both San Francisco State University with a business degree and San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. Choosing to always make theatre a part of his life, he has performed and directed throughout the bay area with over 15 different theatre companies including a passionate commitment to DLOC since 1992. He and Amy have three children who also perform in theatre with all three getting their start in DLOC productions. |
