WE PERFORM OUR SUMMER SHOW (THIS YEAR - LES MIS) AT DIABLO VALLEY COLLEGE PERFORMING ARTS CENTERS.
STARS 2000 was created
to provide teens with an opportunity to participate in theater
workshops and performance. Participants range from students
finishing seventh grade to those graduating from high school
(ages 13 through 20). This program gives young performers
a chance to work with an experienced production staff and
perform in a professional theater - the Lesher Theater at
the Dean Lesher Regional Center for the Arts. The program
offers an excellent training ground for future participation
in a major theater company.
Students interested in the technical aspects of
theater are also encouraged to join us. Experience can be
gained in set construction, costume construction, make-up
and lighting design.
Performances are normally held in late July into
early August. There is a tuition charged for class participation
and a modest fee for costumes.
Contact Diane Kamrin, producer, for additional
information at (925) 944-0900 or email us at dloc@dloc.org.
